SECOND EDITION OF THE FOTON PRIZES
OF SCIENTIFIC COMMUNICATION AND TEACHING IN SCHOOL
OF THE INSTITUTO DE ÓPTICA "DAZA DE VALDÉS" DEL CSIC



In a society in which scientific and technological knowledge play an increasingly relevant role, it is essential that people have access to them from the early stages of our training and in a way that is understandable to all.
In order to contribute to achieving this objective, the Instituto de Óptica "Daza de Valdés" of the Superior Council of Scientific Research, in collaboration with the Spanish Society of Optics and SECPhO, call for the second edition of the "FOTÓN Awards" to recognize and promote the work of Scientific Communication ("PHOTON ISSUED") and Teaching ("ABSORBED PHOTON") in the field of optics and photonics.

They indicate the purpose of each of the prizes and their characteristics, as well as the requirements to participate, the composition of the juries, the periodicity and the place, form and deadline for submitting applications. The forms for the presentation of candidatures are also attached, which can be downloaded in editable format below.

The period for submitting applications opens on February 1, 2019 and extends until April 15, 2019. The prizes will be delivered at the CSIC headquarters, on the occasion of the celebration of the International Day of Light, on May 16, 2019.
