Optics for Space and High Energy Ions (GOLDION)
Group description:
Optics of Thin Films sub-line addresses the development of advanced coatings and measurement techniques to improve the efficiency of optical instruments and the knowledge of the optical properties of materials mainly in the far and the extreme ultraviolet.
Study of the fundamental mechanisms of the electronic damage caused in crystals by high energy heavy ions, and of the modified optical properties of the irradiated materials for novel photonic applications.
