| Laboratory of Photometry, Radiometry and Fiber Optics. |

This laboratory has been designated by the Spanish Centre for Metrology as a Designated Institute (DI) for Photometry and Radiometry,
keeping the national standards for optical radiation measurements, in particular the basic unit for photometry in the SI system of units,
the Candela (BOE RD 1219/1992 and RD 648/1994). As DI, it is a member of EURAMET (the association of European national laboratories)
and a signatory to the Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) between member countries of the Metre Convention. Its internationally recognized
capabilities are available on http://kcdb.bipm.org/.
Furthermore, because of its trajectory over time and its contributions in the field of metrology, it is a full member of the Consultative
Committee for Photometry and Radiometry of the International Committee of Weights and Measures since 1984.
It also belongs to the laboratory network of the Community of Madrid from 2001.
The Laboratory has implemented a quality management system according to the UNE EN ISO / IEC 17025,
evaluated and approved in 2003 by the "Quality System Forum" of EURAMET, known at present as TCQ.
