Training plan offered by the researcher Alberto de Castro and entitled: Measurement of the topography of ocular surfaces in the presence of movements
In many applications of Visual Optics it is essential to know the shape of the ocular, corneal and crystalline surfaces, with precision. Instruments based on optical interferometry have been developed with very good lateral and axial resolution; however, in in vivo measurements, the eye continuously performs small movements that limit the fidelity of the results. A system will be developed to measure these movements in three dimensions and to be able to study how they influence the data obtained. The goal is to move towards more accurate eye models and to develop custom optical quality simulation methods.
