Today, on the occasion of the celebration of the retirement of Dr. Alicia Pons, Dr. Maria Luisa Rastello gave a lecture entitled "What next with the Candela".

Dr. Maria Luisa Rastello is Scientific Director of INRIM (Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica) of Italy and President of the CCPR (Consultative Committee for Photometry and Radiometry) of the CIPM (International Committee of Weights and Measures).

In the talk he explained the importance of photometry and Candela, highlighted the progress made by Alicia Pons during her professional career and pointed out the future challenges in the field of photometry and spectrometry.
