Irene’s Master’s Thesis has been developed jointly at the CMAM ion accelerator of the Autonomous University of Madrid and the CSIC Institute of Optics within the ULS_PSB project (Ultrafast Laser Structuring of Advanced Materials for Photonics, Sensing and Bio-actuation : Laser structuring of advanced materials and application potential).
Her TFM directors have been María Dolores Ynsa from the Autonomous University and Mario García Lechuga from the Institute of Optics.
Irene is currently carrying out her doctoral thesis at the IO-CSIC under the direction of Jan Siegel and Mario García Lechuga.
The call for the Focus awards aims to reward the efforts of students in completing their master’s thesis and stimulate their interest in research in the field of Optics and Photonics.
It is also expected that these awards will serve to make visible studies related to Optics and Photonics in Spain and promote training in this branch of knowledge.
