The CSIC has signed an agreement with the Japanese television network NHK to collaborate on research into emerging technologies. In the part of the CSIC, the responsible researcher is our colleague Marcelo Bertalmío and the postdoctoral researcher Raúl Luna also participates, also from the group of Image and Vision Sciences.

NHK is one of the largest broadcasting companies in the world and the only one, along with the BBC, to carry out cutting-edge research, always being at the forefront of technology development.
The focus of this collaborative project is on 8K television broadcasting and 360-degree video and the development of subjective quality of experience (QoE) evaluation systems.
