To start 2025, we will be hosting the IO Scientific Café on Thursday, January 30th with the talk “A personal journey in the world of optical radiation” given by Miguel Gómez del Rio from the GIMRO group.

It will be at 11:00 a.m. in the Conference Room (S121), followed by coffees in the Club+Terraza.

Summary of the talk

Since I joined the Optical Radiation Measurements group at the Institute of Optics, I have had to face various challenges, from adapting to a demanding technical environment to solving unexpected problems on a day-to-day basis.
In this talk, I will share how I have dealt with these situations and what lessons I have gained while contributing to the team’s work in this exciting field.
