From the Student Chapter IOPTICA and the equality group of the IO-CSIC, we are pleased to announce that next MAY 30 at 11:30 a.m. there will be a day of equality and gender perspective face-to-face in the conference room of the Institute of Optics of the CSIC (C/Serrano 121) that will also be broadcast by zoom.

Sonia Estradé: doctor in nanosciences, professor at the University of Barcelona in the Department of Electronic and Biomedical Engineering, and president of the Equality Commission of the Faculty of Physics of the UB.

Mª Pilar López Sancho: Doctor in Physical Sciences, Research Professor at the CSIC and member of the CSIC Delegate Commission for Equality.

Francisca Puertas: PhD in Chemical Sciences, Research Professor at the CSIC and Executive Vice President of the CSIC’s Women and Science Commission (CMyC).

During this conference we will talk about the binary model of gender deficit, we will analyze the presence of women in the scientific field today, and we will learn about the measures for its improvement that are being developed by the CMyC.
