Summary: The Energy Technologies Laboratory (TEN) focuses on the proposal and design of advanced materials and devices for sustainable energy. Among other topics, the TEN Lab investigates the development of emerging photovoltaic materials for sustainable energy conversion, with a special focus on low-dimensional chalcogenide and thin-film materials.
The overall focus of this position is mainly the fabrication and characterization of chalcogenide-based solar cells on different substrates for indoor photovoltaic applications.
The framework of this work falls within the activities of the European project SUNLIFE (Versatility of Low-Cost and Sustainable Chalcogenide Thin-Film Solar Cells – CETP-FP-2023-00137). The project is a consortium formed by different universities, research centers, and companies from Spain, France, Portugal, Estonia, Italy, and Hungary.

Mandatory requirements: Hold a doctoral thesis and have experience in the synthesis and characterization of chalcogenide thin films and photovoltaic devices.

Candidate profile: Highly motivated individual for experimental work in the laboratory, with solid knowledge of materials science, applied physics, and chemistry, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
