Descripción: |
Turbulence in dynamical systems is one of the most intriguing phenomena of modern science. Integrablesystems offer the possibility to understand, to some extent, turbulence. Recent numerical and experimentaldata suggest that the probability of the appearance of rogue waves in a chaotic wave state in such systemsincreases when the initial state is a random function of sufficiently high amplitude. We provideexplanations for this effect.
