The Optics Institute “Daza de Valdés” (IO) was created in 1946,
it belongs to the Area of Science and Physical Technologies of the Spanish Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), public organism of governamental research, assigned to the Ministry of Education and Science.
Their scientific objectives are focused to:
- the Physiological Optics,
- the Image Processing,
- the Laser-Matter Interaction and
- the Optical Communications.
